In 2000, Indiana University Press published Dinosaurs of Darkness, the now award-winning book by Dr. Thomas H. Rich and Dr. Patricia Vickers-Rich in which they recounted their search for and discovery of a number of remarkable fossil remains left by the dinosaurs that inhabited the Earth’s southern polar region one-hundred-twenty-million to one-hundred-million years ago.
Since that time, a number of further discoveries about these fossils have been made, and new analyses have replaced many early interpretations about these polar dinosaurs and the lives they lived at the bottom of the world.
Therefore, a new thoroughly updated second edition, Dinosaurs of Darkness; In Search of the Lost Polar World, has now been published by Indiana University Press as the most recent addition to their “Life in the Past” series.
