My podcast feed has recently been filled with far more squamates than usual these past weeks. First, episode 92 of Palaeocast featured an interview with Dr. Tiago Simões of the University of Alberta on the topic of how our understanding of the origins of squamates may be changes be reconsiderations of a previously known fossil specimen of Megachirella wachtleri.
Then, just this week, a new “totally serious herpetological podcast” was launched by Mark D. Scherz, Gabriel Ugueto, and Ethan “New York Times Best-selling Illustrator” Kocak (who also designed their superb logo, shown here), named – appropriately, SquaMates. Episode 1, The Fishapod Menace, is available for listening online and is reportedly coming soon to the usual podcast distribution networks.
