When the freshly printed copy of the new Good Birders Still Don’t Wear White arrived from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, I made a quick scan of the authors whose writings are collected in it. As it turns out, I know each one, which will make it a somewhat challenging book to review.
However as such noteworthy birding writers as Pete Dunne, Kenn Kaufman, Michael O’Brien, Bill Thompson, and Julie Zickefoose are likely also well known to most readers of this website – if not in person then at least by their works – perhaps waiting for me to read, process, and convey my thoughts about this particular book is not as important as it might be for other titles.
