Although they created their YouTube channel back in November of 2011, the Linnean Society of London hasn’t been particularly active on the site since then. However just over three weeks ago they began uploading some very interesting presentations as video podcasts, making them available for the edification of all.
The most recent of these recently uploaded videos is “The Botany of Christmas,” a presentation delivered to the Society by Dr. Mark Nesbitt FLS, curator and ethnobotanist at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. In his presentation, Dr. Nesbitt considers the past, present, and future of the traditional plants associated with the Christmas season.
