Combining an updated text of Walker’s previously published field guides to the region along with plates from Lynx’s Handbook of the Birds of the World, this new volume covers the nearly five hundred species of birds to be found in the region in a format sufficiently small so as not to add unwanted weight to anyone seeking to go afield in the thin air of a location nearly 2,400 meters above sea level.
