As I noted not long ago, I’ve been spending some time recently listening to the back episodes of the Palaeocast podcast. While each episode is a delightful sojourn in itself into the world of paleontology, I was particularly happy to discover that Episode 18: Trilobites devotes the better part of an hour to an interview with none other than Professor Richard Fortey of the Natural History Museum.
For those who are already familiar with Professor Fortey’s brilliant writings, he certainly needs no introduction. However for those who might not yet have had the pleasure, I would highly recommend that after listening to the interview with him on Palaeocast that picking up one of his many fine books – such as Dry Storeroom No. 1; The Secret Life of the Natural History Museum, Life; A Natural History of the First Four Billion Years of Life on Earth, or of course, Trilobite; Eyewitness to Evolution – would be in order.
