You’ll not find The Well-read Naturalist participating in many virtual book tours, so when I do, you can be sure it’s for a book that I think is well worth it.
Stacy Tornio, co-author with Ken Keffer of the new book The Truth About Nature: A Family’s Guide to 144 Common Myths about the Great Outdoors, recently contacted me and asked if I’d be willing to play host for one day of the online tour for the book. I was hesitant at first but once I read through a copy of it I knew – given all the good that the book has the potential to do in getting more families with children to go outside and experience the natural world – that being part of this tour was the right thing to do.
The tour is already underway, having begun at the Family Friendly Daddy Blog on 8 October then moving on to Tales of a Mountain Mamma the following day, it will be at Exploring Portland’s Natural Areas on the 10th – the day this update publishes. It will arrive at The Well-read Naturalist on Wednesday, 15 October.
I hope my readers will visit all the websites hosting this tour to see what each one has to say about the book. I’m just putting the finishing touches to my own review of it, which will be published here on the 15th.
