With summer in full swing, many people are heading off for vacation. For those of us in the Pacific Northwest, that often means Vancouver Island, particularly beautiful Victoria and its surroundings.
On my own journey there this year, I’ll be toting a book about the area that I recently discovered: the Nature Guide to the Victoria Region.
A publication of the Royal British Columbia Museum and the Victoria Natural History Society, edited by Ann Nightingale and Claudia Copley, the guide includes not only information about but also directions to the best places to see the many natural wonders of the area.
Rest assured that I shall return from Vancouver Island with a full report regarding how effective I found this guide on my travels.
