Are you afraid of insects? Probably not likely as you’re reading a website dedicated to books about natural history; however many are – even, paradoxically, some of the very people who study them. Jeffery Lockwood is one such person, and he examines his own as well as the fears of millions of other people around the world in his recently published book The Infested Mind; Why Humans Fear, Loathe, and Love Insects. I’ve just begun reading it and am already finding it fascinating. Look for a full review of it here in the very near future.
