The award-winning Public Broadcasting System station WGBH’s award-winning program NOVA recently broadcast an episode titled The Ghosts of Machu Pichu – which thanks to their praiseworthy practice of posting many of their most popular programs online, can be watched in its entirety for free. While I will not be visiting Machu Picchu on my trip to Peru later this year with Kolibri Expeditions, I would think myself woefully ignorant of Peruvian history indeed if I did not have at least a basic familiarity with some of the current discoveries regarding this landmark of mankind’s architectural achievements. This episode of NOVA greatly helped to remedy my ignorance about this marvelous as well as mysterious structure. I highly recommend taking the time to view it.
