As I’m still rather road-weary from my recent attendance at the Midwest Birding Symposium in Lakeside, Ohio, my “recombobulation” process is going a bit slowly. Among other normal post-expeditionary activities, I’m sorting through the photos I recorded during my travels – among which I found a nice series taken of the Marblehead Lighthouse at Marblehead Lighthouse State Park, Marblehead, Ohio. As there was a group of people in the process of setting up a wedding ceremony at its base, I was limited by both propriety and aesthetics to photographing only the uppermost part of the lighthouse; in retrospect not a bad limitation as the red and white of the lighthouse crown against the bright blue sky made for a very clean and iconic image.
