While listening to the most recent edition of one of my all-time favorite podcasts – Nature’s Voice, the monthly podcast of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) produced by Podcats – I was thrilled to learn that it has been nominated for the Internet Programme Award in the 27th Sony Radio Academy Awards. For those who may not yet have taken the opportunity to listen to Nature’s Voice, this would be an excellent time in which to do so in order to discover the high levels of professionalism and effectiveness to which a nature-oriented podcast can rise. For those who may be thinking of beginning a podcast of their own or who may already produce one, Nature’s Voice will serve very well as a standard against which to measure.
The announcement of the winner of this and all the other categories will be made at the official ceremony that will be held on the evening of Monday, 11th May 2009, at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane. A congratulatory post will most certainly be made here should they be declared victorious; however win or lose, the entire team at Podcats and the RSPB as a whole are heartily thanked for all their work in bringing Nature’s Voice to nature enthusiasts throughout the world.
