As I sat in the lobby of a hotel in Birmingham, Alabama, I looked down at my gear on the table before me and realized that I was looking at all the equipment needed for a fully functional mobile birding blogger (the laptop, binocular and digital camera are in the bag). I found this realization both relevatory and just a little unsettling. Perhaps anyone could really do this. Well, other than the psychopathology thing; you can’t just pick that up from a book.
