Bird watching readers of the Financial Times will find Harry Eyres’ present week-end column in that fine newspaper to be of particular interest. In “New Gang of Friends,” Mr. Eyres shares his impressions of the new feathered friends he has met while jounreying through California – once again bringing bird watching into the main stream press is a manner other than as a bird race or a rarity twitch.
